Château Camille Gaucheraud GFA

The Château Camille Gaucheraud is located in the town of Laruscade, 30 km north of Bordeaux at the eastern end of the BLAYE – Côtes de Bordeaux appellation in LARUSCADE, the vineyard belongs to G.F.A. (Agricultural Land Group) Barriers, made up of members of the Latouche family.

Winemakers for more than a century and a half, Benoit Larouche decided in 1999 to develop his own products and, in memory of his great-grandfather, created the Château Camille Gaucheraud. The story of the family continues in 2011 when the second brother joins the adventure.

The 40 ha vineyard is made up of 36 ha of red 70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4 ha in 100% Sauvignon Blanc. The age of the vines is about 25 years old, located on a mound, the property benefits from a clay-gravel and sandy soil

The property has recently been developing a sustainable development policy by being a member of the Iso 14001 certified Environmental Management System for Bordeaux Wine (SME).
